Injurious fall events are not unique to healthcare settings in the United States. Fall prevention is a common challenge throughout the world, and healthcare professionals abroad are focused on strategies to reduce harm from injurious fall events in their patient populations. We have international partners reporting significant reductions in their facilities’ injury fall rates after the adoption of the Upright fall prevention program. Other countries have worked with the Upright fall prevention program to pilot studies and publish results that validate the findings achieved in the United States.
